The framework for new features

Map Caching

With the Map Cache Module, we have been able to reduce the bandwidth usage up to 80%. The cache will also reduce the loading time of the tiles, so animations will be smoother in low-bandwidth, high-latency connections.



We need to install our map caching tool, which is specially developed for the cruise market. Once installation is completed, the tiles get downloaded one and stay in the cache for 7 days.

New tracker capabilities for your tender & toys module

Within the Tender & Toys module, we are now capable of tracking assets all over the world with the use of our integration with Succorfish, and to track helicopters and airplanes in a range of more than 100 kilometers with the radarcape-integration. For the succorfish integration, you need to install a (Succorfish)device on the asset. For Radarcape, there is a need to install a piece of (Radarcape-)hardware on board the yacht.



NB It is even possible to integrate these signals in your YachtEye Shore machine

Windfinder extension

With the Windfinder extension, you can see for the upcoming hours the wave period, wave height, atmospheric pressure and wind speed of the nearest Windfinder-forecasting locations.



Windfinder is the number one used source used by kite- and wind-surfers as well as sailors. All data is visualised via graphs and gauges.

RTSP Camera Support

On-board cameras with an RTSP-output can now be integrated in your Explore-module. Based on wishes, custom integration will be implemented: e.g Explore home screen or within Explore tracking feature.

Improvements

  • Support for 4K Screens

    • We improved the layout to increase readability on screens with a high resolution. Texts will appear larger on screens with a high resolution (above Full HD) in comparison to the previous 4K version.

  • Improved scaling of YachtEye meters

    • Meters are enlarged on Full HD screens to increase the readability of the texts.

  • Windy API update

    • With the new version 4 update, the functionality of the free Windy-extension is expanded with all their enhancements (including a graphical overhaul).

    • You no longer receive a message on screen with a request to update the API.

    • Please be advised we are not in control of the amount Windy API updates.

  • The administrator can prevent the change of templates by the end user. A user can no longer switch to the TV-modus template and get stuck in with this template.

  • Visual change of the Explore Home Module

    • We improved the Explore Experience with several design upgrades. The most notable change is the water effect. The previous water was a little muddy, and is currently replaced by a full-reflecting water.

Fixes

  • During the boot process, cleaner error messages are produced when the internet connection is down. If the internet connection is down, an automatic refresh is attempted after 5 minutes.

  • Users of the Remote Control API (most commonly used by Crestron Systems) are now able to navigate to specific calendar events, and watch the attached gallery.

  • All events happening today are displayed in detail (including the attached gallery) during the Animation Loop (Screensaver Mode).

  • Highlights - YachtEye can integrate the highlights of all destinations of your management company. We also work together with high-end concierge services to integrate custom highlights.
