Create an Itinerary in the Management Portal

Most YachtEye systems come pre-configured with an example Itinerary. As a first step we suggest to open the YachtEye Management Portal, and check this itinerary.

An Itinerary has a Name and one or more Destinations. Each Destination has a Name and optional information such as Description, Media (photos), ETA (estimated time of arrival) and ETD (estimated time of departure). Each Destination also has information about its Viewpoint and the Route (except for the first one).

Add an Itinerary

  • Open the YMP and go to the Itinerary tab.

  • Tap on “Add itinerary“.

  • Enter a proper name and tap “Save“.

  • Set the visibility (in YachtEye) of the Itinerary by tapping on the eye icon at the left of the name.

Add a Destination

  • Select an Itinerary and tap on “Add destination“.

  • Use the search box to find the destination, or zoom and tap on the map to set the pushpin. Adjust the location of the pushpin by tapping on a different place on the map.

  • Adjust the name of the Destination if needed.

  • Tap “Save“.

This will create a basic Destination, adding Media, the Route, etc. is described below.

Edit a Destination

Once a Destination is created, you can go to the Destination and add a Description, ETA/ETD, and media (photos, videos, etc.). Tap “Save“ to save the result.

The description is shown in the popup when the Destination is selected. From version 4.5 YachtEye will display the full text (with a scrollbar if needed), earlier versions will show a maximum of 300 characters.

Change the Viewpoint of the Destination

The viewpoint defines how YachtEye will zoom to the Destination if it is selected.

  • Go to the Destination and tap on the “Viewpoint“ tab.

  • Tap on the yellow circle to change the angle at which the Destination will be viewed.

  • Use the drop-box (next to “Zoom level“) to select the height/level at which the Destination will be viewed.

  • Tap “Save“.

Change the Route of the Destination

Note: You can also choose to hide the route completely, this is set at the Itinerary level (available from version 4.5).

  • Go to the Destination and tap on the “Route“ tab.

  • Hover your mouse over the route and drag to modify the line.

  • Tap “Save“.

 

Change the visibility (in YachtEye) of an Itinerary by tapping on the eye icon at the left of the name. Only one Itinerary should be set to visible.
